Looking out for someone matters.
You don’t have to have the perfect words. Being there, asking, and helping them reach support is enough.

A simple way to help
- Ask. Find a quiet moment. “I’ve noticed you haven’t seemed yourself. How are you going?”
- Listen. Let them talk. You don’t need to fix it. Avoid rushing to advice.
- Encourage help. Offer to sit with them while they call a helpline, or go with them to a GP or local service.
- Look after you. Supporting someone is heavy. Lifeline can also talk with you.
